Profile

Born in West Sussex, I moved to Northamptonshire in 1983 after many years working in London as a PA for various journals including Time Magazine and The Economist Newspaper as well as a large international architectural practice. I also worked as a room set stylist for Conde Nast Publications, working at Vogue Studios in London.

I travelled in Australia, New Zealand and Africa before returning to complete a course in the Decorative Arts at the V & A in London. I began drawing and painting at the age of 40, completing a BTech Foundation Course in Art + Design at East Warwickshire College and left with offers from Loughborough College of Art & Design to study textiles, ceramics or fine art at degree level.  Because of family commitments, I chose instead to work from home and continued my study with regular courses and workshops.

I held my first exhibition in 1998, and since then I have held regular exhibitions at home as well as in galleries in Suffolk, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.  I have also taken part in Open Studios Northamptonshire.  My work is now in private ownership in the UK, France, Spain, New Zealand and Australia.
